Another aspect of these interviews that may be of interest to listeners are the stories of nursing during the war. Therefore the following clips describe a number of experiences from the interviewees.

This nurse describes the context in London when she started her training during the war in 1940:

She also gives a very full account of a bombing while she was on duty (please note this includes some sad detail):
